Opening Dinner

The Staples Diamond Club, founded in 2005, is a volunteer organization made up of players’ parents and Staples baseball supporters working together to help the Staples Baseball program. The Diamond Club was established as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit which provides the necessary financial support to the baseball program through various fundraising and volunteer activities.  Please consider getting involved in our organization. There is work to be done throughout the year to support the baseball program and it cannot be accomplished without our dedicated volunteers.

Monies raised by The Diamond Club support the following daily operational expenses such as:

  • Salaries of assistant coaches on the Varsity, JV, and Freshman level

  • Uniforms and hats

  • Transportation

  • Facility maintenance, repairs, and improvements on Staples & Wakeman Fields, Staples Fieldhouse

  • Administrative expenses including website, insurance, and tax support

In addition to the operational expenses, The Diamond Club fundraising efforts throughout the year go to various capital improvement/ “wish list” projects, which serve to benefit not only the Staples program but also the entire Westport Baseball program, working on the fields that are used by Westport Advanced Baseball and Summer Legion teams.

The Diamond Club also hosts and organizes many special events during the baseball season, such as the Opening Dinner, Little League Day, Senior Day, and the Closing Dinner.

The Diamond Club strives to provide all baseball student-athletes with a positive experience during their time at Staples, both on and off the field, and your support helps ensure that this vision continues. We will share more about The Diamond Club and the baseball program needs at the Opening Dinner.

We offer fThree Diamond Club Membership levels. Please note that the suggested donation per player (which covers mandatory operating expenses per player) is $1275.

Membership payment also accepted at the dinner via personal check, credit card, Pay Pal or Venmo.  All donations are tax-deductible and gifts are awarded with each membership tier.
